I have attached my resume in consideration for the interpretation position that is currently available with your company TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company.
I currently hold a master’s degree in linguistics and have worked as an interpreter for over ten years and have worked with the most updated equipment in the industry. In this time I have completed both teleconferencing interpretation for medical interpretation as well as consecutive and simultaneous interpretation. I have great communication skills and do not mind working with a large audience when necessary.
I am able to interpret simultaneously with no break in the flow of the speaker which includes completing the interpretation of the meaning of the speaker rather than the translating the exact words spoken. My experience as an interpreter allows me to also work on the telephone for medical interpretation to ensure the patient and physician have a good understanding of each other to the benefit of both parties.
On my attached resume, you will find that I speak four languages and have interpreted all in my prior position. When necessary, I am able to travel to on-site locations for the company and I hold a current passport if international travel is required.
